The issue is that the education system values cleverness, but recruiters don’t - they hire at least partly based on social skills. So that puts autistic people in a difficult situation, where they’re more than capable of actually doing the job but they can’t get hired.

My advice? Start a business. It’s the only way you’ll be able to have a professional job that uses your skills and adapts to your needs, without gatekeepers telling you they don’t want to hire you.
